Brian Burns
Brian joined ISI way back in 2001 as Marketing Director and became its Managing Director in 2006. Prior to joining ISI, Brian travelled the world teaching English in France, Quebec and Japan. As well as being a qualified English language teacher, Brian has a Bachelor’s Degree in English and French Literature from University College Galway (NUIG) and a Master’s Degree in Theatre Practice from University College Dublin (UCD). Outside ISI he has been involved in theatre, as an actor, a writer and a director. After nearly 25 years in the EFL business, Brian still loves the buzz and excitement of working at ISI with so many wonderful students, staff and teachers. Coco, his dog, loves ISI too, so much so, that she hangs out there every day!

James Dorrian
James joined ISI in 2007 as a Director. He is a graduate of the Institute of Technology Sligo and worked as a Surveyor in the construction and engineering industries for many years before becoming a partner in ISI. He has a keen interest in art and design, which is strongly reflected in the interior design of ISI’s buildings. He believes in creating a study environment which encourages students to be creative and to express themselves. James enjoys painting every week and has recently started to exhibit his work.

Jennifer Diaz Green
Jen Diaz Green has been involved in ELT education for over 20 years in both Argentina and Ireland. She has a Degree in English Language Teaching from Argentina and a Master’s Degree in Education from Trinity College Dublin. She’s been an EFL teacher, an Academic Manager, a Teacher Trainer and most recently School Director. She’s in charge of quality standards, operational effectiveness and leadership in the company. Her favourite parts of her job are team building, human connections and wellbeing. In her free time, Jen is a busy mum of 2. She loves nice veggie food and yoga.

Marcelo Lopez Anido
Born in Argentina, Marcelo started working at ISI Dublin in 2019, having spent the previous ten years living in New Zealand, Australia and Malta. He is a graduate of Marketing from the University of Buenos Aires in 1999, and in 2007 he finished his training in Graphic Design and in 2009 became a professional Webmaster. Marcelo also has a diploma in Human Resources, working in that area for more than 7 years before finally turning to his passion, marketing. He likes sports, he loves basketball, a sport that he has played all his life. He loves to travel, visit new places and face new challenges. What he likes about ISI Dublin is being surrounded by an exceptional group of staff, and working to increase awareness of the school, throughout the world. He feels that ISI Dublin is a place of great diversity and cultures.

Ricardo Sarabia Roque
Ricardo started its journey at ISI Dublin as a student back in 2018. He was so captivated by the school and staff that he happily joined the ISI family. He has been working in various roles since he joined the team over 3 years ago. Currently, he is performing the role of Sales Advisor attending the LATAM market. He was born in Mexico and graduated from IPN with a degree in International Business in Mexico City. Currently is attending the CCT College Dublin where he is studying Data Analytics. His previous roles in Mexico involved 5+ years of experience in international trade and consulting. He considers himself a smiley and friendly person. A sports person, he loves playing basketball, practicing boxing and swimming. The best thing about being part of the ISI team is the people he gets the chance to meet, learning from different cultures and enjoying good conversations and stories from people all around the globe.

Guilherme Meireles
Guilherme has started his story at ISI in 2017 as a student, after that he used to worked in warehouse companies. He was born in Brazil and is graduated in Logistics and Supply Chain Management in an institution in Dublin. Now he joined ISI as our admissions officer to achieve new goals in his career. Guilherme is passionate for football and has funded a Brazilian team in Ireland to play with his friends. He loves to help students to come to Dublin to have the unique experience of living abroad.

Heather Sheldon
Heather has moved to Dublin from the Kingdom of Kerry where she had worked in hospitality for many years. Prior to that she worked in Japan as an English teacher, and in Germany as a research assistant. She started in the Accommodation Department at ISI early in 2023 and loves the challenge of matching students to host families to make the journey as smooth and easy as possible.

Lisa Griffin
Lisa went to college in Dublin where she received her Bachelor’s degree in English, Media and Cultural studies. She most recently lived in Galway where she completed her Master’s degree in film. She has worked in the hospitality industry for several years and has travelled to various parts of the world. She loves to meet new people and experience different cultures.

Lisa Griffin
Adri was born in Hungary and just finished her degree in Psychology. She just moved to Dublin a few months ago and started working as an Accommodation recruiter at ISI English School in February. She enjoys travelling, meeting new people, and getting to know different cultures. She is fluent in Hungarian and English. She enjoys her work since she can help the students to have an amazing stay in Ireland. In her free time, she likes to travel.

Deniz Unverdi
Deniz graduated from the department of French teaching in 2009 and completed teaching Turkish to foreigners training in 2017, and also completed her master’s degree in French teaching in 2019. Since then she has been teaching Turkish and French to foreign students. Deniz continues to take on different duties at ISI since 2020. Finally, she joined the lovely marketing team, where there is excellent and harmonious teamwork. As a foreigner living far from her home country, she knows the problems of international students very well and loves to help them. She also loves working with a helpful and sincere team at ISI, where there is an international environment.

Maija Goba
Since 2006 Maija has been part of the ISI Dublin team, but it was in 2015 when the ISI Cafes first opened, that Maija became a Cafe and Facility manager. Born in Latvia and a graduate from the College of Commercial Merchandise, she also speaks three languages – Latvian, Russian and English. It was back in 2002 when Maija left Latvia to visit Dublin, Ireland – a country over 2000km away! Since then, Maija has fallen in love with the city and its people. The best thing about being part of the ISI team is being part of a friendly and supportive team and she loves meeting people from all over the world.

Leticia Avella
Leticia is Brazilian, currently living in Dubin and working as a receptionist at ISI English School. She worked as a Tourism Agent for some years back in Brazil and in her free time she works as a make-up artist. She speaks English and Portuguese, but she can understand Spanish and Italian quite well. Most people say she has a creative personality, and she is always keen to help everyone.

Nayara Meireles
Nayara was born in Brazil, currently living in Dublin and working as a receptionist at ISI English School. She has a degree in law and has worked for five years at the Sao Paulo court of law. Traveling and getting to know new cultures is her passion, and that was what motivated her to live outside her country.
Junior Programmes

Nicoly Wapenik
Born in Brazil, Nicoly was an exchange student in Ireland in 2014 and during this experience she discovered a passion for traveling, living new experiences and getting to know different cultures. That’s why she decided to work with exchange programs: to help other people find their passions. In 2019 she returned to Ireland to make this country her home. Graduated in Interior Design, loves art and everything related to stationery, she is always ‘needing’ a new pen.

Mark Ta
Mark recently graduated from University College Dublin with a degree in Law and Philosophy. He previously worked within the university as a High School Programme Coordinator, working with various students from many nationalities. Born and raised in Dublin but with Vietnamese parents, Mark loves Dublin and has a vast knowledge of Dublin and moreover Ireland. He has a keen interest in sports in particular football and basketball.

Elliot Huggins
Elliot started working for ISI during their 2022 summer camp as an activity leader. It was there he discovered his passion for learning about different cultures and meeting people from around the world. Since then, he has started working as a full-time activity leader for the company. In this spare time, you can find him gaming or spending time with his three-legged cat.
High School Programme

Sarah McGovern
Sarah has worked on the High School Programme at ISI since 2016. Before that, she graduated from Dublin City University with a degree in Applied Languages and Translation Studies. As part of her studies, Sarah spent an Erasmus year in the south of France where she attended university. After her studies at DCU, Sarah returned to France for an academic year where she taught English to high school students. She then spent two years living in Vancouver, Canada. She loves working with the team at ISI and having the opportunity to welcome amazing teenagers to the High School Programme each year.

Maebh Cotter
She graduated from Dublin City University with a bachelor’s degree in Education and Training, and also has a diploma in HR from Dublin Business School. She had been working in real estate for over 8 years, but prior to that had worked as an SNA in a secondary school. Her biggest passion is travel and football, and loves to hike and cycle!

Bruna Swaizer
Bruna is originally from Brazil and has been in Ireland since 2009. Graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business and Management in 2018 and has a solid administrative background. Bruna speaks Portuguese, Spanish and English and is currently learning French as she very much likes learning new languages. Other than that, Bruna has traveled to over 30 countries and has it as a hobby. In her free time, she enjoys reading, socializing with her friends and spending some quality time with her fluffy cat Duncan.

Aimee Mulholland
Before joining the team at ISI in 2022, Aimee’s background had been in retail and in the Financial Services Industry with many QFA qualifications. Joining ISI allowed her to gain more experience and to challenge herself personally, and in her career. Naturally, Aimee has always had a flare for language in school, Aimee has conversational levels of Irish and Spanish and is now learning German. Outside of work music is her main interest. She enjoys going to gigs and Dj’ing in her free time. Aimee has a passion for travel and cannot wait to explore the world. She looks forward to meeting new students each term to learn more about different cultures and nationalities.
