We’re Open

Dear Partner,

We continue to bring you good news from ISI Dublin. Next week we are opening our Parnell Sq. centre for face-to-face classes, meaning both of our city-centre buildings will now be in operation. We would like to assure all our partners worldwide that STUDENTS CAN STILL TRAVEL TO IRELAND TO STUDY despite some confusing stories you may have read online. To explain, an official at the Department of Education has proposed that English language schools should voluntarily stop recruiting students in 2020. Our association, MEI, has rejected this proposal, and to be clear, the Irish government has not banned students from travelling to Ireland. Unfortunately, some embassies, e.g. Turkey, have been instructed to temporarily suspend issuing visas to English language students. We hope this is a temporary situation – MEI is lobbying the government to reverse this decision.

At present, students from ‘green list countries’ can travel to Ireland with no 14-day quarantine. Students whose countries are not on this green list, have to quarantine for 14 days. This means staying with one of our host families or in a residence and restricting movement as much as possible for 2 weeks. We have put together a comprehensive COVID19 School Guide for all existing, returning and future students which explains all of this very clearly. You and your clients can also watch our little video which demonstrates what it’s like to study at ISI Dublin, adhering to all of the Irish government’s Health and Safety protocols.

The Irish government is due to make another announcement regarding international travel on September 14th. It is hoped that airport COVID19 testing will be introduced, and this may replace the 14-day quarantine for some countries.  In the meantime, we have some great discounts for you on bookings until the end of September 2020…click here for details! We are also taking last-minute applications for High School. If interested, please get in touch.

If you have any questions about sending students to ISI, do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Brian Burns
